For me I think Rookie is my overall favorite, each Digimon at this stage is clearly distinct and doesn't feel over-designed like Ultimates and Megas. Champion stage has some really fun designs but a lot of them lack the ability to have facial expressions and such, so they don't typically have as much personality as a Rookie stage does.

Ultimate looks like the final stage of the Rookie Digimon, like a stronger version of their Champion version. Mega takes things too far and a lot of times don't resemble the rest of the line. Mega Digimon mostly ending up being humanoid, knights, or mechas.

I do like Armor and Spirit, but we'll stick to the main lines. The lower ranks look like colored blobs, and most of the Mega are overdesigned. Somewhere in the middle is a happy medium splitting me between Champion and Ultimate. Actually, the designs of the armored ones (and the versatilities of the armors) are the most fun, so I am going with other.

Ultimates tend to look pretty awesome without risking being overly designed.

Probably Rookies or Champions. Anything younger are too similar. Anything older are too much.

I really prefer Champions. Its their first It just got real evolution and was so dope to see as a kid.
He's all alone through the day and night.
