Is that true? I've been going on walks every other night to try and lose weight. Is it really not that effective?

I have friends that are on it and they lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I can't imagine spending that much money indefinitely for weight loss though tbh. I started intermittent fasting and I lost comparable weight within a month.
Out of curiosity, what do you do? Because I've considered doing that. Specifically the thing where you don't eat for two days.
