My doctor just put me on it. More for diabetes and I have been gaining a little weight, but man this is like a wonder drug.
i never knew much about it, but its helping my blood sugars. I have not been hungry at all and I also have Crohns and its helping with that a bit. Plus Ive only been on it 2 days and it started working in only like 2 hours on the low dose.
i thought it would take time to work. This is kinda amazing to me.
My mother is on it.

It's absurdly expensive.
Thank you for taking the time to read this sig.
This sig loves you.

I basically can't get it here until I can prove that I need it (which basically means if I can show that my current diabetes medication isn't working, but so far, it is... just probably a lot slower than Ozempic would)
Have you felt any changes in regards to urges outside of food?

Trump is pursuing a chaotic far-right overthrow of existing US government norms and checks and balances, trying to destroy our way of life.
That sounds really good.
Ghosts are cool.
Im prediabetic and a candidate for it but I dunno ir I want it, Im scared it will ruin my love for food.

Maybe it's great for actual diabetics, but I really don't get why everyone else is touting it and similar products like mounjaro as this amazing wonder drug to help you lose weight if the only thing it does is curb hunger? That's never been an issue and you don't lose that much weight after a while simply from not eating. Exercising and fat burning have been the consistent ways to actually lose weight, so I'm very curious how this drug works especially after seeing kelly clarkson's insane transformation.

Hunger has never been an issue? You don't lose that much weight from not eating??

I heard it causes some nausea. The making you not hungry part is great for weight loss, but dangerous for someone with an eating disorder.

I have Crohns and its helping that a lot. Like Ive barely been going to the bathroom or having to go, normally I go often. I dont even know if its supposed to help that. Other than that my blood sugars arent spiking and theyre running lower
like I would also be hungry all the time, but now I have no hunger and feel semi full and when I eat I want very little. Its weird not feeling hungry especially around food I love
Taking compounded semaglutide from Hims. They prescribed it for my situation, I got a bit of a discount so it is $2000 for a year. But I tell you - if I DO end up losing the weight it will be worth every penny.

Which I believe is like Zepbound + B12. I've done 4 shots so far. I've definitely felt some difference so far. about to double the dosage next week so we'll see.

I do feel a bit of "sulfer burps". Going to get some Tums to help with that.

It is nice being able to eat like one frozen meal and actually feel full after. And not just want to keep eating.

I've lost like 5 pounds in 4 weeks so far, I imagine at the higher doses it will speed up.

You really, really ought to learn to speak for yourself and yourself alone.

"Hunger's never been an issue" is not true for a lot of people, and Mounjaro can absolutely work to help curb that and help with weight loss.
Im kind of surprised they put you on it with crohns. It can often cause tummy discomfort that paired with crohns would not be a fun time. Although, you could tell your doctor if you do and theyll have you just stop taking it I guess. Diabetes is definitely more important to keep in check though.

Are you overweight and getting to experience the benefits of that aspect too?
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.
Why use a drug like that? Was watching Invincible and they kept have ads for a much better diabetes drug. How could you not want something that listed side effects such as potentially fatal bacterial infection between the anus and genitals, and increased lower limb loss.
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

Diet is considered roughly 80% of weight loss for most people. It takes like an hour of jogging to erase a single snickers bar. It's much more reasonable to not eat the Snickers

It was my diabetic doctor that put me on it, my Crohns weve never really talked about, so it probably didnt enter her mind, but Im not feeling sick or pains in any way.
Im not really that much overweight but I have gained about 40lbs in a year. I still look pretty thin though, but my clothes are getting too tight so Im happy for the weight loss.
Ive had surgeries because of my intestine issues and on my stomach, so that might make this drug work much more than a normal person because I have less there.
but the not having to go to the bathroom or feeling I have to keep going is awesome. Im actually sleeping through the night.

they started me on the lowest dose then next month I go up higher, I didnt think Id notice any difference for awhile let alone pretty close to instantly

I don't think I've ever seen so much incorrect in a single post.

I have friends that are on it and they lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I can't imagine spending that much money indefinitely for weight loss though tbh. I started intermittent fasting and I lost comparable weight within a month.

Cool that it works for people but that's some luxury drug shit I could never afford lol fasting rules and saves money. I'm frugal tho lmao

Is that true? I've been going on walks every other night to try and lose weight. Is it really not that effective?

Out of curiosity, what do you do? Because I've considered doing that. Specifically the thing where you don't eat for two days.

There are a bunch of other positives from keeping active, so walking is definitely overall good for you. I'm not about to tell you to stop. But yes, in regards to weight loss your diet is the largest factor unless youre like the very few who have some other medical issue going on.

The walks will somewhat help you retain muscle mass and is good for cardiovascular health though. So you don't need to go nuts with it, but doing it regularly is great. If your biggest concern is just losing weight, track your calories. Eat a little less and weigh yourself weekly. If youre losing around one pound a week, that's very healthy. If youre not losing anything, step down a little more to eat even less. Eventually you'll dial it in. If youre very overweight, you can go a bit further on the weight loss per week. Then it's just staying mildly consistent

36 hour fast. It's not very hard after the first couple days. I have since took a break because I went on vacation and that fucked me but I've kept my weight down.

I've tried many other diets and that's the only one that's worked for me. I'm not large by any means but I was around 190lbs (5'8") and I dropped and kept to around 160lbs in not a lot of time.

On fasting days I drink a lot of water or hot tea. Never really got peckish until right before bed but a hot herbal tea usually subsides that. On days I eat I only eat healthy homemade stuff for the most part unless my wife wants fast food lol

I've been on and off it for the past 4ish years and haven't had any issues. I'm not a nutritionist but I've talked to some professionals and they say it's not a bad diet as long as you don't have any health issues that require specific needs.
