So he has 10 million dark side points, but now 1 day light side point
Didn't he say this during his first term too?
No, but I thought the legislature somehow passed a law to abolish daylight savings... by accident?Maybe that's what it was. I remember it happening.... And then not happening
I remember headlines about it...

As long as its permanent standard time and actually eliminating DST Im all for it. Not the other way around which is what some people want.
Studies have proven permanent DST is more beneficial than permanent standard time, both on mental health and on traffic accidents. It getting darker earlier in the day tends to result in worse mental health, since it getting dark earlier, particularly immediately when people are getting out of work, tends to be worse for depression. It was also found that it getting dark when people are driving home, after being tired from work, results in more traffic accidents than if it's dark when they're driving to work.
Admittedly Im viewing this selfishly and only considering my likes/dislikes. I hate in the summer time it being light out until 2200. Id much rather have it dark at 2100. I work 2nd shift so I always drive home in the dark but on my off days I hate it being light so late. I dont like to watch movies until its dark and I prefer it dark earlier.
I love in the winter when its pitch dark at 1700. Makes for great tv time. I dont care about morning time because I sleep it until like 1000 every day.
For god's sake people, DST is not held during the winter. Unless you're going to school at like 5am in the summer, dst is not why it's dark out at 7am. It's dark out at 7am because it's winter when clocks are on ST anyway.
Fuck, CE doesn't even know about the Earth's axis.
Enjoy it being dark until 8 am in the Winter, numbnuts!Sounds great to me!

That extra hour of daylight would be in the evening where it can be spent walking the dog and stuff. Who cares about morning light
People have been trying this for ages. What makes him think he'd succeed?Being president helps. Have those people tried that?

Had to be at the bus stop by 6:45, which was before sunrise for a lot of winter. With year round DST that changes from "a lot of winter" to "all of winter and a considerable bit of fall, too"
this could very well be the only good thing trump will ever do
It IS dark out at 6 AM when I let the dogs out to use the bathroom, and with DST, 6 am becomes 7 am.
It still has to pass Congress, and some of "those people" that tried were literally Congress. For example, permanent DST passed the Senate in 2022, but didn't even get brought up for a vote in the House, so it never happened.Oh now when it's something we like, suddenly congress is going to be stubborn and refuse instead of just being Trump's yes men.
People have been trying this for ages. What makes him think he'd succeed? He's been elected God King.

Ok fine but these are the things you focus on when youve done literally everything elseNo no. Let him cook.
Thanks, I fucking will.
Literal GOAT status if he can make this shit disappear.
No. Trump is still horrible. So was Nixon, but he still managed to do a couple of good things.

A "couple good things" does not propel someone into greatness territory, especially when it's outweighed by a ton of horrible shit.Oh I agree. I should've added that part to my post.
Looking forward to the kids walking to school in darkness this time of year.I'm looking forward to school administrators realizing that time itself doesn't have to change for them to schedule school at a safe hour.
I don't believe him.
