Started a new job earlier this year. And the lights in the bathroom are motion sensitive - if there is no detected movement for 5 minutes, the lights turn off. Waaaaay too short of a time period for #2.

And this isnt my companys doing - it is the building managers that have the bathrooms setup this way on every floor (the bathrooms are in the hallway, not within my companys leased area). Guessing it is just a way to save money on electricity, but give it at least 10 minutes

Ours are only motion sensitive outside of 7am-7pm.

Long story short, he was shocked that everyone didn't spend 45-60 minutes on the can and went and got checked out. Turns out he had some kind of blockage.

When I worked at Target in the backroom I'd have to do that in the aisles a lot of times.
There was even one time I spent so much time backstocking in one aisle that all the backroom lights went out. Good times

My last workplace had this.

The worst part was, the sensor was outside the stall.

So you either had to do finish it off in the dark, or risk it to get the lights back on....

This should unironcally be a serious crime to sell or to install at a workplace
