oh boy, i hope it follows the game's established storyIt would legit be awesome if someone made a sequel to the Goonies 2 NES game in which you could play as all the different Goonies after you rescued them, with different items and skills for each Goonie.

Another 90s movie thats loved fondly from adults today thats going to target children lol. People gonna hate it. Theyre 20+ years too late for a sequel.Parents that loved the movie will bring their kids to see the sequel, it is the circle of life.

Hopefully it's the grandkids and the original cast don't appear much in the movie, maybe like :45 seconds when they're in the backyard having a BBQ and another minute in the end of the movies
All of the main actors are still alive. This sounds pretty good actually.Main character Sloth isn't
Man, I would love to see Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Ke Huy Quan and the rest of them all together again.
Shit dude. Sean Astin is in 50s now.
Basically I'm not going to be a hater, lol.
Yeah, I have chilled so hard on the "They're ruining my childhood!" with remakes and reboots and stuff. It's like... why do I care? At the very worst you'll get a bad movie out of it. But if it's a decent new entry then you have that, or possibly people now being interested in the original that you liked so much.Exactly. I tell the same thing to "passionate" final fantasy fans, 2000s teen titans cartoon fans (ironically enough even this was pretty different from the 70s/80s teen titans cartoon), whatever else. They can't ever take away your memories, or hopefully the 4K UHD blu-ray re-releases, old game ports to modern platforms etc.
I made a comparison on the movie board that these aren't erasing over the originals, the original will still be there for you to go back and watch and enjoy anytime you want. This isn't ruining anything. You can just... no interact with the new one at all. I just don't get people's visceral reaction to stuff.

...Lego Goonies?
I would absolutely love this, tbh.It had a level in Lego Dimensions.
I'd go so far as to say I want that much more than I want a new movie.
1. 80's movie
2. Did you miss the part about Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is doing well? 41 Mill. first day!
No.
So...the Goonies are going to be 40 somethings going on an adventure?A real life IT.
So...the Goonies are going to be 40 somethings going on an adventure? The gang have a family re-union and talks about their old adventure, their children listen and decides to have their own.
