ok so i hated this movie
it was heavy handed as fuck. like no respect for the viewer, beating the fuck out of them with the point heavy handed. i felt like the titular character was meanspirited and not in a fun way. i understand the point of perceptions regarding her driving her to fulfill those perceptions, but its like the movie wanted me to laugh at those parts and i think it was p dissonant
the third act misunderstanding was contrived as fuck and feels like it took no push to happen
the entire climax was beat for beat Iron Giant, up until the credits
oh and a lot of the characters' actions and demeanors were like, an uncool persons idea of a cool person
i hated it. hated the movie
