Dunderhead and what the hell is Charles middle name ?According to the same episode that image is from, "Norbert". Later in the episode, it turns out that Stu and Didi Pickles didn't realize he even had a middle name, with Stu bitterly remarking that "maybe he bought one".
What did he get cancelled for? Im not going to lie I always disliked that guy for no real reason. Something about him seemed off.

What did he get cancelled for? Im not going to lie I always disliked that guy for no real reason. Something about him seemed off.Apparently, this:
Hardwick's ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra published an essay on Medium on June 14, 2018, in which she alleged that she had been subjected to emotional and sexual abuse by an unnamed ex-boyfriend, and claimed that she was subject to career blacklisting in retaliation for ending the relationship. The essay did not name the abuser, but the timing and several key details led readers to conclude it was Hardwick. In response, Nerdist removed all mentions of Hardwick from its website while AMC announced that further episodes of Talking with Chris Hardwick would be pulled. Hardwick also stepped away from moderating all AMC and BBC America panels at San Diego Comic-Con.
On July 25, 2018, AMC announced that a comprehensive investigation conducted alongside law firm Loeb & Loeb had failed to confirm Dykstra's allegations and that Hardwick would return as host of Talking Dead and Talking with Chris Hardwick . Their statement read, "We take these matters very seriously and given the information available to us after a very careful review, including interviews with numerous individuals, we believe returning Chris to work is the appropriate step." Dykstra, who refused to cooperate in the investigation, stated two days later on Twitter, "I chose not to participate in the investigation of the person I spoke of. I do not believe in an eye for an eye." She also stated that she "originally wrote her essay so she could move on with her life, and now she intends to do so". On July 31, 2018, NBC announced that Hardwick would return as host of The Wall following its own investigation. On August 10, 2018, his name was returned to Nerdist's website after their own investigation.

This topic is a great example of why fandom quarantined the board.Oh yeah? How so?
Haven't watched Wheel of Fortune in ages, but this really is the end of an era.
Reading some disappointing things about Pat in this topic though.
Oh yeah, I'm sure he'll be so miserable with his millions of dollars he got from hosting the longest running gameshow in the US

Time and a place, guys. You don't have to base every single opinion and every single statement you ever make (or will make) in the span of your entire lives on some political view or another.
Sometimes it's okay to just shut the fuck up.
Because bigots get called out? Oh no XD
Sometimes it's okay to just shut the fuck up.Ironic enough of a sentiment from a guy who has never shut the fuck up in his life.
You don't have to be nice, but maybe it's better (and certainly more polite) to say nothing. What are you guys actually trying to accomplish here?Pat Sajak isn't reading this topic. Why can't people on the Internet say mean things to someone they don't like when they retire? Is it going to throw the universe off balance? Anger a vengeful god?
"called out"He says while defending grossly toxic people
Literally nothing you say or do will ever effect any given rich bigot. It's just belched negativity when people want to enjoy something. I'd get if you were spreading some useful info that would maybe adjust purchase parameters, but it's just... Gross toxicity. You just want to be mad and look for a fight, but it's only going to work against you.

To be fair, people on the other side, like Gob, are literally trying to demand people only say positive things.lol right? "Stop policing opinions about people who base their identities around policing skin color and genitals!"
It's almost like people are just going to have their own opinions in a topic about a celebrity, especially when the topic is as benign as "They're retiring."

"Literally trying to demand" would be a good point if he was literally trying to demand. You can't really "try" to demand in this context, but aside from that, a demand is different from suggestion.
Hes the last OG game show host. Im sadYeah, this really does feel like the end of a whole era. Not just the "Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune" era, but that whole style of game show hosting has slowly eroded away.
I'm confused. What did Pat say that makes him a bigot?User Since: Apr 2013
Telling people "there's a time and a place" is definitely more of a demand than a suggestion, since it's outright trying to shame them.
And you absolutely can "try" to demand. It'd be making a demand with no actual authority to do so, and thus nobody takes you seriously.
This would just turn into a lesson on semantics... Which sure, I'll bite.
You conflate shaming with a demand, but a demand has nothing to do with shaming. They are not mutually exclusive, but not linked, either.
You can "try" to demand, yes, in the sense of maybe being poorly spoken, or having some sort of instability, having some indecision in the process of making your statement of demand. See: Marty's dad in Back to the Future. You can successfully execute a demand with the intent of it still failing. You can successfully punch Andre the Giant in the gut; you can also fail to do any damage as a result of this successful execution of a punch.
"Time and a place" would make sense if he died or something, but he's just retiring. Acting like people are only allowed to say nice things about somebody who is retiring is pretty silly. It's also pretty silly to act like you're only allowed to say nice things about somebody who died, tbh. If somebody was a complete and total shitheel who dedicated their lives to making other lives around them worse, they don't deserve a nice memorial.

And yes I know that would be a bit hyperbolic if applied to Pat Sajak but there are definitely some people alive today who would deserve a Munchkin Land-style funeral when they croak.
