From the story I read is that they got bought out but the buyer borrowed money to acquire RL. Bills came due, so in order to bail out the boat they closed restraunts. The original owner has bought some back. I forsee the original owners taking it back and off their hands and the current owners getting what ever they can out of it.

Nearest one near Regency Square is closed. The nearest one that's still open is over in Orange Park.

EDIT: According to the list provided by the link in the original post, it looks like the one at Regency isn't on the chopping block.

I've been to that location a couple times in Independence. Not really my thing, but the garlic cheddar biscuits are yummy. Sadly it's one more nail in the coffin for Noland Road.

There is competition, however certainly not much as with a coastal location, true enough.

Evidently is. No real loss to me though. They werent bad but they are not only inferior to other places but more expensive than them to boot. Really no reason to go there beyond initially trying a new place.

A few years ago they rebuilt a shopping plaza near me and a Red Lobster was set to open there but they backed out. The one in Times Square is the closest to me and they're closing but I've never been there.

the price of shellfish has weirdly dropped substantially in my area, so you can just go to ShopRite or Wegmans to get lobster tails or snow crab legs for pretty cheap.

Howdy neighbor. The Orange park is staying because of Traffic and it's location. It makes the most profit I guess. Major Intersection helps. It's always busy.

Looks like all the ones within about 2 hrs are closing. The one near where I grew up was not listed though.
We all ate the biscuits, Fighter. We can all see through time.
