I remember enjoying both on the 3DS, just can't remember which I liked better. I intend to replay on NSO.

I played ages first and seasons second. If I was going to play it again. I would do the reverse.
Above all things, never be afraid. The enemy who forces you to retreat is himself afraid of you at that very moment.
I found Seasons to be easier so I recommend it first.

Ages is far more tedious, I'd get it out of the way first.

Play Seasons and stop tbh
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.
I've played both ways and I can say Seasons first is better. Ages has harder dungeons and it'll kinda feel fucked up if you do all the hard dungeons first and then move on to the easier dungeons in Seasons. Plus while the combat is harder in Seasons, it's still kind of a easy overall >_>

Seasons -> Ages just feels like a more natural difficulty curve

That was exactly what I didn't like about it tbh. There were more than a few dungeons where I found myself walking back and forth across the whole damn dungeon fighting the same damn enemies AGAIN in case the thing I missed were way the hell over there.

Oracle of Seasons
Well I'd love to stay and chat but I fu..ing hate you.

On one hand, yes

On the other hand, it also has far worse minigame spam. The stretch between dungeons 5 and 6 is just awful.

Neither. Play a good 2D Zelda instead.
Only two things can end a Republican's career - a dead girl or a live boy.
One order leaves a random square in one of the games completely inaccessible. I think it's Ages to Seasons that does that. For nap completion sake... Seasons.

Ages is my preferred though.

Ages first. Seasons has more of a story to it, so it kind of builds up the tension.

Ages first, it feels like the linked bonuses go farther in Seasons than Ages

Anyone hoping Nintendo does a remake like with Link's Awakening's Switch version? Ages and Seasons combined as a single game. You could go to the Maku Tree and talk to Farore to jump between Labrynna and Holodrum, and to bring secrets across.
its cute you think nintendo would bundle a remake of both together

when they would sell them separate for 60 bucks each

Usually I'd agree but the games make the most sense being together. Plus the engine and a lot of assets already exist due to Link's Awakening so costs shouldn't be as high as starting from scratch. iirc Link's Awakening was $10 cheaper than usual RRP, they wouldn't do that for a combined Oracles remake though.
its nintendo never doubt their ability to price gouge

Seasons to Ages or you can't compete the Labrynna map :(

From the sound of it you can't enter from the present in a non linked game, and vice versa in a linked game
