How many of you abused Columbia House and BMG Music back in the day?

10 CD's for a penny and they couldn't do a damn thing because they entered a contract with a child, which is illegal. Mr Beavis Butthead got 10 free CD's!

I still have some of those CDs.

I probably got about 100 cd's from them. LOL

Yup. Once my dad realized he could tell them to fuck off, he didn't care.

My roommate took them to town when he got access to the mailroom at college.

For me it was VHS tapes when I was a kid. I was supposed to buy so many at full price and they wanted like $80 for some movies. I just ignored anything they sent after that.

My dad belonged to Columbia House legitimately. I loved going through the catalog and picking music out. Sometimes my dad would purchase what I wanted, sometimes he didn't. They actually were fairly priced on vinyl which is what my dad purchased at the time.

Then on the weekends he would record off his vinyl onto a cassette tape for me. We were both really into music and my dad is only 18 years older than me so when I was a little kid we both enjoyed the same current music of the 80's.

I know everyone likes to talk about ripping them off but they honestly had some pretty good prices on a lot of music in the 80's. A lot of albums would be discounted decently.
