I think Goombella ends up being the best partner just because of Rally Wink, but Vivian is definitely a close second. I never found Yoshi that useful in the lategame because he's basically an SMG and most of the enemies start having defense at a certain point.Any power badges for your partners increased his damage significantly past the third one. His basic attack with +4 would do 5+4+3+2+1+1=16, which is 10 more than his usual damage, whereas other partners would only get +4 or +8 total for Goombella. Hell +6 would do 20 damage, with each additional point giving +6 damage each! Course that would require some power rushes or the star power that buffs att/def.
