Car insurance. $80 cheaper when I put 'IT' instead of 'software development'

I can't speak for how it works in the US, but here you're basically obligated to switch provider every year because they just plan on screwing you every year and bet on the fact that you can't be bothered to switch.

Yeah here its a bit the opposite, I quoted all the other providers around me and I have a perfect record pretty much, no wrecks, no tickets, etc. and all other providers wanted nearly 200+ a month while my provider has been cheaper because I've been with them for so long.

It seems if you live in a big metropolitan area, where there's a lot of drivers and un-insured drivers they raise the rates of everyone else to cover the difference. Sucks, but it is what it is.
