maybe they're acting smarter...but for real, I hear back in Ecuador(?), they treat them really harshly, so maybe that had some kind of overall effect.

Indeed it did, as ironically enough the only way you can legitimately get that quest in Fallout 4 is to get the dude youre supposed to be protecting in a previous quest killed off instead.

Looks like El Salvador got tired of their bs and decided to get tough and lock a bunch of them up. Not sure about the status of MS-13 in America, Im sure theyre still doing their thing in LA

I suppose it might play a bit better in a border state. Also I'm sure Abbott is scared shitless of actually losing his election in 2026 and being held accountable for the crimes he's definitely committed in office.

They fell off for one of two reasons, depending on who you vote for.

If you vote Republican, it's becasue Trump was SO tough on them for his four years, they're too afraid to come over anymore.

If you vote Democrat, they were never a problem in the US to begin with, and it was just redcap fear mongering.

Living on Long Island, there is still a pretty heavy gang problem in certain areas, so I feel like it's a mix of the two.
