My partner and I went to take our dog, Mushu, on a walk before going to the gym. While Mushu was "mooshing" around, a small white long haired leash-less dog walked up to us. It started playing with Mushu. We saw some neighbors watching, so we asked, "Is it ok to play with your dog." They said it's not their dog and it's been walking around outside for a few days. My partner coaxed it over while I went home to grab Mushu's old crate.

I came back with the crate and saw that my partner had a few small bites in her hand, but still had the dog. We boxed up the dog, put it in the car, and drove back to our apartment. She called the animal shelter, but they were closed and said to call the police. The police came and called an ambulance and got someone from the animal shelter to come by.

While she was talking to the police, ANOTHER unleashed dog walked over and started playing with her. This one I recognized from our neighborhood, it had a tag and had clearly just gotten out. I eventually walked it over to one of our neighbors whose door was slightly open.

Now my partner has to get a rabies shot.

Thats rough. It was smart to keep the biting dog around instead of just punting it to the next county. It can get tested for rabies now

Or did I read it wrong and you are saying they already ran the tests and got results?

No, you're right. She got to the hospital and they said to wait for the results from the dog, which wasn't what the EMT said.
