I have to give my turtle 7 shots over the next 3 weeks. And he is so mad at me. Like I wrote about this before and I wasn't even hurting him just annoying him. But I feel so so bad. Like when he sees me he swims away. And that bad part is I have to do it 4 more times .

Yeah, it sucks when animals don't understand you're helping them. I feel awful when I have to stuff medicine down my cat's throat. She hates it so much, and tries to fight you.

I'm pretty sure my poor cat still has ptsd from when she was a kitten and I had to hold her down twice a day to give her ear drops

it's one of the reasons why i don't want to get a cat. out of all pets they're not so cooperative when it comes to taking those things.

a dog wouldn't have a problem with it, long as there's some bribing involved with a high value treat.

i'm just fortunate that one time my cat had an abscessed tooth and my uncle was able to give eye drops and a pill every day for a week without issue (maybe i gotten good rolls with having easy pets).

My dog easily sniffed out the meds I tried to sneak in her food. We ended up having to crush it along with water and buy one of those syringe things and squirt it into her mouth. She didn't want to be around me for a while. :(

Oddly I have an Oscar too. He is an a--hole. And I am not joking. This dude would take food that he doesn't want , just so others can't have it.
