About a month or two ago, I took some powdered magnesium that you mix into water to drink, and it gave me such horrible stomach pains that I legitimately thought I might die. I have a family history of digestive maladies, and I once almost bled to death from an ulcer. The magnesium made my insides feel like they were ripping themselves apart for about 1-2 hours.
I ended up being fine afterwards, but goddamn was it bad. (Well, I actually ended up being extremely dehydrated and got a splitting headache.) I was stupid and didn't eat enough food when I took it. With my stomach issues, I probably shouldn't have taken it at all.
