The alternative was raising taxes on the rich, so yeah, don't get cancer.

President Joe Biden is scrambling to fund his cancer moonshot and its ambitious goal of cutting the death rate by half an aim close to his heart thats no longer a bipartisan priority.

Lawmakers backed the initiative during the final days of Barack Obamas presidency, passing the 21st Century Cures Act, and allotting $1.8 billion to the cause, nearly unanimously. Then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called it the most significant legislation passed by this Congress.

But times have changed. The spending package Congress passed in March doesnt reup Cures moonshot money that dried up at the end of last year. Lawmakers rejected Bidens request to fund Cures this year and also cut off his moonshots most direct funding stream.

When youre running a $1.6 trillion deficit, spending cuts arent the problem, Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), the new chair of the House Appropriations Committee, told POLITICO.

As someone who has had cancer, I agree.
Furthermore, The GOP is a Fascist Organization and must be destroyed
Weekly reminder they're a death cult.
Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding
and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. Just is!
Look for cancer treatment costs to increase exponentially.
"I dreamt I was a moron."
The GOP cutting cancer research funding sure as hell should be a top-tier Dem message for their campaigns.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

That would require the Democrats to make an intelligent decision, which is something that they aren't capable of doing

The only thing that Republicans want to think about cancer on is how they can scam children with it out of their money.

This was supposed to be a parody.

(Though in context of the clip, Mays wasn't told there was a rally or forgot about it, as opposed to actively being against fighting cancer)

I'm so tired, man.

Dupont and Tyson can pollute my drinking water and get away with. I can get cancer drinking my water because of them. The face no consequences. But research that could save my life if I do get cancer? Ban hammer. No!

Tell them to fuck off and refuse to cut it.

Let them take the fall for this.

'We don't have money for this'
'For cutting cancer deaths in half? Isn't this something that we should have the money for?'
'Well bengazi'
