Unless a (single) parent is forcing their kid into a sport so they (the parent) have opportunities to uh... Mingle, I never understood forcing your kid into a sport they don't enjoy. At that point you're inconveniencing yaself.
Least, if they're dropping the kids off and abandoning them with some other adults and kids, you know they going off to get alone time with themselves or someone else.
Like I understand maybe forcing the issue for a few practices just to see if it catches their interest but the kid also should have at least exhibited an interest in whatever.
Though I guess if parents were even a modicum better parents on the whole we'd be a better society for it
