yet everybody still loves transformers, TMNT, etc. Also true.
Because it doesn't.Again, true.
Star Wars hasn't been good since 1980. Only decent movie over the last 44 years was Rogue One and that is still nowhere as good as first 2 movies.Rogue One was ok and definitely the best Disney Star Wars but it gets overrated purely because of the Vader scene at the end.
Rogue One was ok and definitely the best Disney Star Wars but it gets overrated purely because of the Vader scene at the end.Nah, the Vader scene is legit, but the whole third act is top tier. It gets so much praise cuz it's so different from everything else SW's. The mission is a success, but there is no happy ending. No ceremonies or big celebrations. Just sacrifice in the name of hope.
It doesn't suck. I've liked much more of the recent Star Wars stuff than I've disliked.Ok

because it's aimless. there's no direction, there's no end goal. the og trilogy was a complete arc. the prequels, while shitty, were mostly a put together arc sort of.This unfortunately. I used to love star wars a lot, but pretty much every new entry feels like just another product off the conveyor belt. There's no point to any of it other than keeping the franchise going.
the sequels had no point and didn't really go anywhere. what's the point of mandalorian besides looking cool because i don't know either? where is anything going right now, what even is the empire or the jedi right now? who knows but force powers and lightsabers everywhere anyway.
aimless. chaos.

they should have just killed han in empire strikes backHe was originally supposed to die during Return of the Jedi.

Episode 3-7 are good.
Rogue One is good.
Everything else varies from medicore (aka Eps 1 and Solo) to absolute trash (aka Eps 2, 8, and 9)
yet everybody still loves transformers, TMNT, etc.People also love star wars....
Having three different directors for a trilogy leading to no real continuity in development or direction for the Disney trilogy. The PT had one director *and* a continuity officer: Lucas himself. And, in spite of this, the PT still had problems.
its good its just not as good as Star Trek.Amen
It doesn't suck. I've liked much more of the recent Star Wars stuff than I've disliked.Same here. There's been a few things I would probably change, but for the most part I've liked everything I've seen
