Strange, Biden told me he did have direct control over those things.
He did? Is he talking to you right now? Is he between the leprechaun and the pink elephant?

If we assume that all the terrible policies on Trump's website and Project 2025 won't happen (dangerous and stupid, but let's go with it as a hypothetical), what policies do they have which will make life better than it is under the Democrats?

Or will a Trump regime be the same as a Biden one, but with just with a more ridiculous and corrupt figurehead?

If you actually read the thing you'll see that it literally cannot happen legally...meaning if they want it to go through, they'll have to do it through a violent coup or other similar means. Meaning we are fucked regardless.

Oh a violent coup. Yeah Trumpers would never do the thing they did 3 years ago already. Especially not when Trump is trying to legally give the president role complete immunity.

Replacing people with yes men who willingly subvert the law does not require a violent coup. Thats why project 2025 is so dangerous.

I forgot Trump always follows the law and there are consequences for his actions. And the Supreme Court would never accept that he could just assassinate his political opponents if he wanted to.

Your point literally only shows why Biden has to win this election.

Is that what youre attempting to argue? Because thats what youre accomplishing.

Why didn't Trump make himself dictator the first time he was president?

So you've dropped all pretense and are just openly trolling now? Cool. I'll tag and move on then.

The democrats had control of all three branches. Why didn't any of these things happen then? I already know the answer. I just want to see if you do.
they only had the house and the white house the senate wasn't fully in their control due to two shitheads who kept fucking shit up

so mario2000 thinks that giving Trump power wont be any different than having Biden in power because Trump is just going to assassinate Biden either way

Yeah, the thing to understand is Project 2025 is not a Trump plan, it's a Heritage Foundation plan. They're the ones who chose Trump's Supreme Court nominees specifically to get Roe v Wade overturned. Now that they've done that they're setting their sights higher and are prepping to push the country even farther toward the Christian theocracy they want. That's what's different now compared to when Trump won in 2016.

Legally...you mean through laws that are interpreted by judges that the president can appoint? Kind of like how scotus justices that trump appointed are now part of making the decision of whether he gets immunity for actions taken while in office?

Is that the legal process you're referring to?

Yes. Sorry, I meant house, senate and presidency. Not three branches. They had the legislative and executive. That's my bad. I think Lyndon B. Johnson was the last time they had all three?

If Biden does win, and Dems somehow get congress back, that just puts them in the same spot. What's different next time? Are the Dems gonna try to expand the supreme court this time around?

The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
