i'm 32. should i be ashamed that i'm not married yet?

Current Events

Absolutely not.

I have been married for 25 years with two kids and that works for me. I have a twin brother who never even wants to think about marriage or kids. That works for him. And plenty of others are somewhere in between. It is all good.

I always respond to these kind of statements because my brother always worries that marriage and family is what he is supposed to do. According to who? People should care much less about outside pressure (from family, society, friends etc.) and more about what works for them. As long as people treat those around them with respect and care, doing what works for your life is all for the best.

An opinion does not turn into a fact simply because the person holding it feels strongly about it.
