I like to tip $1-3 dollars depending on how quick they serve

I try to stick with 10%, usually end up a bit above.

Is this just a US thing?

I have never seen anyone tip at Starbucks.

I'm a generous tipper at a sit-down restaurant

I don't tip at the drive-thru.

The difference is that servers are being paid like $2/hour plus tips, while the Starbucks (or *insert fast food place here*) drive-thru worker is making $10-18/hour

I dont always get prompted at every starbucks I go to. If I do maybe like 50 cents. If its a busy area, 50 cents from most customers can go a long way...then again I imagine most people do not tip there, and I dont blame them.
