Maple is a GOAT protagonist and watching her break the game in hilarious ways is just too great

KyoAni masterpiece with a GOAT OST

Comic Girl
Kaoruko Moeta is disgustingly endearing and highly cultured I can't not rate it 10/10. Actually 11/10

Girls und Panzer
Top tier action scenes. Even those that don't like moe style should watch it for the tank battles alone.

Hidamari Sketch
Artsy, cute, funny, and the best anime teacher of all time (RIP Miyu Matsuki)

Also love K-On. As a big classic rock fan, I always appreciate the references and nods to the greats in that show, and of course the great dynamic between all the cast.

I've only given 3 seasons of anime 10s (because MAL is weird and idk if I'd give 2 of the 3 series involved a 10 overall anyway) but I'd like to think I'm pretty generous with 9s

I also have a smaller list of anime so that might be more inflated but my mean score is a 7.2

This just shows how peoples ratings can vastly differ because Id struggle to give even my favorite shows this many 10/10s

One Outs is fucking amazing and I totally recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it, but I can understand why it's not talked about much. It's a baseball anime and a gambling anime, neither of which are all that popular in the west compared to Japan. It's a show from 2008, not old enough for 90's and early 00's nostalgia but also not new enough to have aired on modern streaming services. And on top of that, it currently has no legal way to stream it, so you have to find an old out-of-print physical release or use "less than legal means" to watch it.

I would love for HiDive to pull One Outs out of licensing hell and give it an English dub like they recently did with another gambling-focused anime, Kaiji.

One Outs really is great. I don't remember the anime going all the way through the manga stuff, but it does have one of the funniest arcs ever made ( the cheat-off episode as the rain delay approaches ) and that alone makes it worth detractors overcoming any "I hate baseball" feeling they may have.

I have a lot of 10s because I only watch anime that I know I'll like. Meaning I don't really take recommendations, and most recs that I've gotten are garbage when I watched them. Although I know if I go back through my 10s, some will become lower.

I'm very pleased to say I finally convinced my best friend to watch it - he just started it tonight

I think there's only 1 that I've ranked a perfect 10/10, and that was Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. It's a comedy anime, and you'll have to have watched the first Full Metal Panic to know the characters, but every episode is gold. The only other one that even came close was Kenichi, but that was kind of ruined by the manga continuing the story. I feel if they had cut the story right after the animes ending, it would have been an 11/10 for me.

FLCL is actually my go to 10 answer

I feel like FLCL is SO overrated. I think I gave it like a 6?

Probably only be Death Note and Code Geass for me.

FLCL is a 10 for me and the only standalone show (or "first season" for that matter, not that I plan to see the Adult Swim FLCL revivals) to get that score from me

Although Kill la Kill was really close, I think that and Bakemonogatari are the only shows I'd consider bumping up to a 10
