I hate to be the only one dunking on him because he has obviously been in a ton of great stuff but why the hell did he ever agree to be in Jack and Jill. I'm a Sandler fan but man that one is atrocious and it baffles me why Al was in that.
Guy had a hell of a start to his career in the 70's though. Outside Scarface the 80's was kind of a weak decade for him but he had a very strong 90's as well.
I think having fun with a silly project is fine. Dick Tracy was sort of that, too. A modern version of being on the Muppet Show. Hes really good and his scenes from the Irishman that snuck into my algorithm got me to see the movie. The first two Godfathers, Dog Day, Glengarry, Heat, and Sea of Love are all some of my favorites. To me his biggest embarrassment is Looking for Richard.
