I'm convinced that she realized she had a really good chance of being Trump's VP pick and didn't want it. This was her emergency exit.
I wonder if she has some pr team, cause goddam what a bad move. Letting everyone know what a psychopath she is. I mean MAGA is okay with certain psychopath behavior, she couldve said she killed minority for sports and may have gotten the VP nom, but dogs... 98% of America loves dogs. And its also her BS reasoning to do so.

"Endearing" is the wrong word. What that story is trying to convey is, unlike the feckless vegan snowflake liberals who are scared of guns and American values, she's capable of making the tough decisions needed to be seen as a good leader in a conservative hierarchy.
It also might be intended to imply that she's gonna be coming for antifa and the groomers and the fentanyl dealers and the [insert minority group that you hate here].

You don't understand, the dog deserved to be killed because it annoyed her.Just like the cops when they murder defend themselves against unarmed black teenagers, Noem's gut instinct that the dog is "bad" and deserves to die should never be questioned.
What's the tough decision? If you're unwilling or unable to devote the time necessary to train a puppy, you give it up for adoption/give it to a friend/family member/etc. That is what 99.9% of people would do. You don't shoot it in the face. That only makes sense if you think like a normal person and not a super right wing fascist type person.

Thats why she killed the dog?According to her own book, it was a 14 month old dog she was trying to train to hunt pheasant but wouldn't listen to her then it got out of her truck and killed some chickens belonging to another family. Her response was to take the dog to a gravel pit and kill it with a shotgun.
Like, "This person hurt/killed a puppy" is the go-to trope we use in stories to show that a character is completely, irredeemably evil. I can't even comprehend how delusional you'd need to be to think that this would reflect positively on you to anyone.

If she was trying to impress the nazis in her party then someone should have reminded her that Hitler loved dogs.Trump hates dogs. Maybe she thinks sharing this story will help her get approval from the Orange Messiah, and thus the VP nomination. Although all it did was show herself to everyone for the horrible person and pyschopath she is.
