Cool. You picked a good time to buy. Oh btw I marked you for no picsFair. But I only have picks with me and the Mrs in it so I don't want to grace you with my presence to much. I'll take some tomorrow though.
Couldn't pay me to drive a Tesla. Hope you enjoy yours though. There's a lot of reason to avoid them and I went back and forth for about 2 years. But I finally landed on getting one. Big change from my 08 accord.
Their stock will hit 300 within two years? without Elon stepping down . . . o_+Yeah it's stock tumbled recently. I bought in before the last split though so I made a good chunk of change on tesla when I sold it.
Great car, congrats. Howd you spec it?Long range and white and black interior. I did a few takeovers but it was mostly because it wasn't being assertive enough in traffic.
FSD has gotten crazy good lately. Cant remember my last intervention.
Academically speaking only, as I dont even trust most basic driver assist features in any car lol
embarrassing and also just really bad fuckin design. This pretty well sums up Tesla and everything else Elon Musk touches.
FSD has gotten crazy good lately.Excuse me, you mean "Assisted FSD". Not FSD at all. You use FSD only when you're looking to die.
I will say they are definitely eye catching cars. Like a slight step forward towards something more futuristic.Yeah it looks great but until I started looking into it I couldn't tell you the difference between the models outside X is SUV style. I still find a regular car more practical for a road trip but my first quick charge from 20% to 80% was quicker than I expected after I went into the gas station and used the restroom and bought some water.
But as long ad I can afford it I prefer my dodge challenger. It's only a v6 though I just like the body style and over all look of one

Alot of the things that may sell others aren't much of a concern for me though. I put it into chill mode almost immediately because I am never going to need to go pedal to the medal. It's cool that it's there but I'm mostly interested in the technology.

Nice, I've had mine since late 2020, about to hit 60k miles. Was a nice upgrade from my 07 Camry with no working AC lol.Yeah its quite the change from my 08 Accord. I got the 3 month referral promo and ill see how that plays out with wanting a subscription. Might be something I do on occasional trips.
I've been on the free month of FSD and honestly, it's quite good. Not $99 a month subscription good, but much better than I was expecting
Honestly, the supercharger for road trips is imo the main reason to go for a Tesla over the other brands. I know the DC fast charging for non Tesla have gotten better, and they're opening supercharging to other brands, but the ease of using it when on a trip is soooo good. Which mattered to us because this would be our main car, with our secondary car being my wife's 09 Camry which we wouldn't trust on long distance drives.Yeah its showing the prices and stall openings at a quick glance is very nice. It was the thing that scared me most about the thought of a Tesla but it seems like the ability to charge is already there and will continue to improve. I still have my wifes Honda CRV which has been the primary trip vehicle and is going to hold up for quite some time.
the first time i rode in a tesla, the uber driver picking me up had to get out of the car to show me how to open the damn door. That pretty much sums up my experience when a relative picked me up one time.
embarrassing and also just really bad fuckin design.
amongst all the other issues they have.
anyways that's my blogfaqs.
Where's that "your heated seats subscription has ended" meme...In the BMW and a few other car brands topics. All Teslas have heated seats included.
Long range and white and black interior. I did a few takeovers but it was mostly because it wasn't being assertive enough in traffic.Iconic choice. Theres a ton of settings to make it more assertive in traffic, but I havent touched those. I prefer it being overly cautious.
Iconic choice. Theres a ton of settings to make it more assertive in traffic, but I havent touched those. I prefer it being overly cautious.Yeah I played with it a bit but I've heard it described as an unsure 15 year old and that feels accurate. I don't want it overly aggressive either but for things like lane changes or going from a stop sign I have to take over at times. Better the be safe for sure.
Rented a Tesla a couple years ago, enjoyed it but I hate Musk and I have heard so many horror stories about Tesla tech/maintenance support. Also shit like deactivating features people have paid for.Yeah that's the biggest thing that made me shy away from it for a long time shit changes on the whim of an immature idiot. But I have quite a few friends with one that haven't had issues
I am eying an Ioniq 6 but after Hyundai and VW announced exploring new types of batteries I'll probably wait another couple of years before going EV
Krojen, have you had to get your brakes replaced yet? Mine is starting to squeak at around 60k miles. I was hoping to last longerInteresting. You use regen/hold settings the whole time too right?

Any time I see a Tesla driving by, I judge the driver, and I don't feel bad about itI am certainly crushed by this dear stranger.
Yeah, I use Regen/hold settings and try to use Regen for the vast majority of my breaking. I haven't actually taken a physical look at the brakes yet (I don't even know what to look at), but it is squeezing at times when I break at slow speeds and stuff. Which I'm pretty sure means the pads are wearing downMy best friends a mechanic with a home setup that makes inspections easy or I prob wouldnt either.
more like model LI enjoyed this one.
