It was a great improvement and it had no need for any sequel after that.

Though it is kinda weird aging J up by like 15-20 years to make the plot/timeline work

Holy crap, a previous poster said 3 was good and there was no need for a sequel after that, I thought to myself "There isn't one" and then read your post.

I too had forgotten International existed, and I even watched it.

Yeah they tried very hard to make it to a franchise. Sometimes less is more, imo. MIB 3 isn't a perfect movie, but it was a massive improvement over the second and,imo, better than the first.
