like whatever ones people use to post the Elsa reaction pics and stuff. or actually maybe ones that can do more cartoony like "clipart" style graphics? and hopefully that are free to use. i'm thinking i want to try to use one to come up with a mock-up of the logo i'm designing for the small food business i'm going to be launching soon.

i had a meeting with the guy who operates the commissary kitchen i'm probably going to be making my mini cheesecakes out of, and one thing i asked him is if he knows any graphic designers or artists that i would be able to commission to do my logo, and he referred me to someone who sounds promising. so i want to have a kind of rough depiction of what i want the logo to be like that i can show her, and she can take it from there.

i was trying to whip something up with just free clipart i found online, but the only graphical editing software i have access to right now is regular MSPaint, since paint.net which i had been using does not work with my OS anymore, and trying to figure out how to i'm gonna go about upgrading my PS on my PC has been a headache. i'm hopefully gonna be buying a cheap laptop with Windows 11 on it soon, but until then, i want to be able to do something in the way of designing a prototype logo.

tl;dr i need recommendations for an AI image generator (preferably free) that can do cartoony or clipart style graphics.

https://www.bing.com/images/create?FORM=GENILP I've been getting really good results with it for quite a long time now

tho you need to learn how to massage your prompts to work a lot of the time

For less realistic images, bing.com/create is legitimately very good.

If you want more realistic images with literally no restrictions, you'll want to look into installing Fooocus.

Yeah just use the Bing image generator. It's the simplest to use and get good results

okay i'm trying out Bing, but it's taking a loooooooong time. it is thanking me for being patient and telling me generating my image is taking longer than expected. how long does it generally take?

Much, much less time than you think.

Look to the side, see that kinda... Blank box, with a question mark in it, or whatever? Whenever you get that "This is taking longer than expected," click that blank box, to refresh the page. 9 times out of 10, your image is done, and it will appear.

Unlike something dedicated, like Fooocus, Bing doesn't automatically refresh your page, you need to do so. In my experience, the "This is taking longer than expected" is the indicator to say... It's actually done, refresh the page.

Yeah, it's a "pro tip." Bing doesn't automatically refresh, but a good tell is... Once you get that message, click in the box and/or refresh, because the image is done.

What are you waiting for? You're free.
does Bing not let you ask it to modify the output of a prompt you already submitted? fine tune it, essentially? i thought there were AI image generators that let you do that.

I mean, AI should be a quick and easy way to make avatar images for things like RPGs. E.g. you want more character portraits for the Pathfinder games.
