Look behind bushes, garbage cans. Look up at roofs, trees, telephone poles. Look under anything that can be crawled under.

One time I couldn't find my stupid small cat for a few hours. It was nice out so I had the balcony open. She jumped out of a small hole in a window screen from the second story. I found her screaming her head off, stuck in the small tree she landed on when she jumped out.

you should talk on the phone outside for a while, or invite friends over and talk outside.

you can put a light coat of flour on your porch to see if they leave prints. put the food by it.

put dirty laundry outside, so they can smell the place.

they are probably hiding very close to your door, a few hundred feet.
