For the record, this poll was inspired by a comment made during a political debate, but is not meant to be taken metaphorically. This is just a What If? for if such a thing actually existed.

And, since I didn't specify the planet, let's say it's not yours.

I'd rather not, but I can't think of a better option.

a space station, that can wipe out a planet with a single attack, which is led by a genocidal leader with magic shouldn't exist.

If I were aboard the Death Star as a POW and someone had access to destroy a planet buster and save the lives of billions in the short term and quadrillions in the long term I'd have but four words for any pilot trying to destroy the Death Star. Take the fucking shot.

Depends on what intel we have about the Empire's intentions and how much time we have to react. (How fast does a Death Star even travel? Lol)

The ability to blow up a whole goddam planet is grave enough that I think the sacrifices would be a tragic necessity, granted that we knew the Empire was going to use that power anytime soon.

Ideally I'd prefer rebel bases to start getting moved off inhabited planets and stage rescue attempts for as long we could afford before an innocent civilization gets caught in the crosshairs.
