I'm on track to getting banned it seems, over videos more than 6 years old with no views LOL

The internet's just getting suckier and suckier. Is this the point where the roller coaster finally tipped over the peak and now we're just racing downhill at breakneck speeds?

YouTube loves to make new rules and not tell anyone about them than retroactively strike your channel for said rules citing this is not allowed even tho it previously was.

a few months ago a ton of users got strikes for having playlists with one or more videos that were taken down for violating the site's terms

what's ridiculous is that (1) it was not their videos, and (2) the playlists were autocreated by youtube years ago and populated with every video the users "liked," and (3) the video which triggered the strike was not actually specified

They got Tales from the Trip not too long ago for promoting drug use despite his channels entire purpose being to show the dangers of using drugs by way of peoples own personal experiences, though since then theyve restored his original channel with the condition that he puts a disclaimer at the start of his videos.

It's all good tc. Just make videos of yourself wearing see-through clothes for educational purposes but provide a warning disclaimer in the beginning.

Youtube is totally fine with those videos

They are. This is an advertisement platform now, the Internet is no longer a knowledge and communication database. Advertisers stuck their grubby greasy hands in to it and ruined it a little over a decade ago now.

yeah, my naruto fan channel from like 15 years ago got closed recently. it was basically just fights from the series, I'm surprised it took so long to get canned because I never did any cuts or editing.
