The Republican National Committee and former President Donald Trump's campaign announced a new initiative Friday to deploy thousands to monitor vote counting in battleground states during the presidential election. The Republican Party aims to recruit 100,000 volunteers to observe the voting process and report irregularities, as well as lawyers to provide rapid-response services if there are issues in the vote counting.
In a leaked video of a recent presentation, a man who identifies himself as a GOP official in Harris County, Tex., says the party needs 10,000 Republicans for an election integrity brigade in Houston. Then he pulls up a map of the areas voting precincts and points to Houstons dense, racially diverse urban core, saying the party specifically needed volunteers with the confidence and courage to come down here, adding, this is where the fraud is occurring.
Last time there were MAGAs with assault rifles standing outside my polling station, and police sitting across the street doing jack shit about ityep they want to scare dem voters off
It's only going to get worse
I never understood this voter intimidation thing. Like when the black panthers showed up with a billy club and stood outside the polling station in Philly. Like how are you even going to know who I voted for lmao
"Hey... did you vote for my guy?"
"Sure did!"
the difference is now that the cops will just stand back and watch Trump supporters intimidate votersWell, it's weird to talk to coworkers on their day off.
Biden should send federal troops or threaten doj charges if they intimidate votersLol. Dems don't have that kind of spine. It will be the death of us.

Odd that the singular example you used in a thread about Republican voter intimidation was the Black Panthers from decades ago. Hmmm.I can't take you seriously if 2008 was decades ago. HMMMMMM

In the period leading up to the 1868 presidential election, the Klans activities expanded across the South, using threats of violence, beatings, and worse to intimidate Republican voters. A campaign of widespread terror took hold as the presidential election neared. In Kansas, there were more than 2,000 politically motivated murders. In Georgia, the number of threats and beatings was even higher. And in Louisiana, 1,000 freed people were killed.
Violence surrounding the 1868 election thwarted reform efforts by preventing Republicans from voting. New Orleans had 21,000 voters registered as Republicans, but only 276 people cast votes for the Republican candidates because voters were intimidated and threatened with violence. Despite Democratic victories in states like Louisiana, Kansas, and Georgia, Republicans ultimately prevailed in the 1868 presidential election and sent Ulysses S. Grant to the White House.

The conduct for which members of the New Black Panther Party were accused of voter intimidation took place on Election Day in November 2008, at a polling station in a predominantly African-American, Democratic voting district of Philadelphia.[4]
Two members of the New Black Panther Party, Minister King Samir Shabazz, and Jerry Jackson, stood in front of the entrance to the polling station in uniforms that have been described as military or paramilitary.[5][6] Minister King Samir Shabazz carried a billy club, and is reported to have pointed it at voters while both men shouted racial slurs,[7] including phrases such as "white devil" and "you're about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."[8]
Still dont get why Republicans are allowed to break the laws all the fucking time.Cuz they are republicans
Still dont get why Republicans are allowed to break the laws all the fucking time.
This wouldn't be as bad if the presence of these volunteers seeing nothing out of the ordinary happening at these polling stations would convince Trump supporters that the election is legitimate, but we all know they're still going to scream rigged if Trump doesn't win.
what next? they will want who you vote for to be publicly accessible knowledge? There's some merit to the idea of trumpers being branded for life. There should be no backing down from having supported fascism over protections for minorities/lgbtq.
Curious if there's gonna be terrorist act attempts.
Hes willing to sacrifice everything I am. Thats why theyre coming after us with lawfare, theyre going to come after us with everything. Thats why the next six months is going to be intense. And we need to strap on our lets see. What do we want to strap on? Lake asked as some in the crowd chuckled. Were going to strap on our, our seat belt. Were going to put on our helmet or your Kari Lake ball cap. We are going to put on the armor of God. And maybe strap on a Glock on the side of us just in case.
Were not going to be the victims of crime, Lake continued. Were not going to have our Second Amendment taken away. Were certainly not going to have our First Amendment taken away by these tyrants.
Theyre gonna do everything they can to disrupt the election, whether its another pandemic, whether its going to be inciting the civil war, said Geenee Roe, 63, when asked about Lakes speech afterward. The event included a raffle of an AR-15-style rifle.
Considering how much more money DNC is raising compared to RNC this time around, Dems can easily counteract that with Poll Supporters. People who provide food and water and protection to all voting stations.
Hopefully, Democrats will encourage more people to vote by mail if they can.
They need to fuck off with this voter suppression intimidation bullshit.only way they can win is by voter fraud and intimidation
Some states have made it illegal to give out water near polling stations. Those same states created a system in which minorities have to stand in line for hours to vote, while affluent white voters are in and out of their polling locations in a matter of minutes.
because the all are wearing military gear and have Ar15's and are probably gonna be telling people not to vote for biden or else
