Sure, but really the thing is that most people don't want to think about pollution and ecological damage because it's terrifying how badly we've fucked up the world.
This is honestly why I never want the human race to leave Earth. We would just go and fuck up some other planet in the same way because the people with the highest chances of escaping are the ones fucking it up now.
