Does your media and news feed lean right ?

Yesterday, I posted about how my MSN landing page keeps bombarding me with right-wing content, which I strongly dislike. However, since then, I've noticed that many other platforms and feeds are doing the same thing. YouTube shorts constantly recommend right-wing videos, including ones from Tim Bean Baby Pool, of all people. Even my Reddit feed suggests content from the Critical Drinker, among others. The strange part is, I don't actively seek out or engage with right-leaning content on either of these platforms. It's frustrating to feel like these platforms are constantly pushing this content. I don't use Facebook, but I know that is a Right wing hell scape.
Biden is the greatest President ever.
My only media feed is Youtube, and when watching stuff outside of my usual bubble, I use incognito mode so the algorithm doesn't bombard my account with left/right/other stuff.

Yeah, it's usually only YouTube shorts though for some weird reason.

Like first it'll start with some Joe Rogan shit here and there, then some vague gesturing about how the "other side" is horrible (mostly Republicans in the comments if I check) and then even if I've skipped over everything, it'll just start spitting out people like Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan left and right until either I give up, or something worse manages to find its way in. Then I'll have to restart my doomscrolling all over again.

I'm somewhat convinced that youtube just doesn't want me to go over 200 shorts in a row for some reason.
I do drawings and stuff

I tend to get most of my news first from youtube these days, and those tend to lean more towards the left I notice.

One thing that keeps creeping further over to the right is video game ragebait type of videos. You know the ones...asmon or that one dude who uses a vtuber avatar covering some sort of "censorship" rage or muh sexy womens ain't too sexy no more kind of videos, lol.

Don't get me wrong I'm about pretty anime ladies in the japanese games I play but goddamn I'm not trying to go down any kind of holes of pure rage and needing to always bitch about these sort of things day in day out.....it'd drive one insane eventually.

I'll click on some unrelated video game (or comic book related video. Like when I was trying to find out whats up with that one alt universe starfire has a big girl goth daughter now comic and things like that) video out of curiosity to see what this more than likely BS controversy of the week is about, click out after getting the gist in like a minute or so, and next thing you know youtube is trying to get me in that perma-pissed right-leaning geekdom pipeline.

Nope. Yahoo has left-wing stuff, and YouTube recommends stuff relevant to me: Hazbin Hotel songs, BBCF mods, MxR Plays, GrayStillPlays, Ryan George, and some random animal videos here and there.

I use BBC for news so it really depends on who you ask.

Ask people on the left, they'll say it has a right wing bias. Ask people on the right, they'll say it has a left wing bias.

As for YouTube, I don't see any political videos.
No
I'm the eyehole man. I'm the only one that's allowed to have eyeholes! Get up on outta here with my eyeholes!
I don't have like a homepage that's customized for me in any way, and I certainly wouldn't use MSN / Bing / Yahoo or something at this point lol.

That said, I don't really have too much issue w/ this. Sometimes, I'll watch a few too many reaction videos or something to specific content, and then I'll have to tell Youtube to chill a bit to get my stuff back in line, but generally it's fine.

Maybe it bombards you with the opposite of how you lean. Cause when I did lean more conservative I got a bunch of liberal ads on Facebook. Now I'm pretty much in the middle and I don't get shit.
I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process
Thanks guys. I maybe because I like wrestling stuff and many of those fans seem to the right leaning, and workout stuff. And to be real a lot of the bros lean right as well. I don't see any other reason I would get that stuff .

My recommendations are better then come comes up on the new short.

What tool is this?
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to make sense.
I watch wrestling, so yes. Everything is pretty heavy right. So much so I've basically quarantined wrestling clips to a separate profile.

leans left i guess. i listen to cbs news on the radio

i used to get my news, at least the headlines, from these boards and mainly 261. the takes were what they were but i can form my own thoughts. someone always posts whats going on from the normal trump stuff to more issues based topics
Youtube will, once in a blue moon, shove a bunch of right wing shit into my feed out of nowhere. My viewing habits don't change much, outside of new particular interests, but the last "new" thing I started watching is hoof trimming, and that was years ago.

no. however the comments in the random articles Bing is suggesting me are often disabled if it's about Ukraine, or anti-support otherwise.

i do watch a lot of interactions with police officers and sov citizens on youtube which overlaps with a lot of libertarian garbage so occasionally i'll other weird right wing stuff will filter through
My media generally doesn't go out of its way for that kind of garbage. When it does make comments in like a side quest or whatev, it's usually left because, well, otherwise it would have crashed and burned and I never would have heard of it.
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.
I don't have a media news feed.

I get my news mainly from the BBC. (Which some think is establishment right, and others think is a nest of extreme lefty subversives).
'Vinyl is the poor man's art collection'.
I don't have a news feed. On youtube I've disabled watch history totally so I dont get recommended anything

my news feed leans extremely left, I guess. since I don't really have a proper news feed, I just get my news from talking with people who do
THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF

I'm constantly one click away from being bombarded by incel shit, so yeah. Last time it happened because I got suckered in by a Smash Melee thumbnail and it took a week for them to stop recommending me shit despite my constant usage of YT.
Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding
and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. Just is!
My Twitter is a good mix of both I think. I'll be scrolling and see some information that leans left/right, then I keep scrolling and see additional info that puts that same news into context from the "other side"

I try to avoid political content left and right, so it never really shows up. I don't have Facebook, Twitter or tiktok that often to even warrant even looking at the feeds

YouTube shorts are the worst thing on the internet. I never use them, and my content is 99% Pokemon and Baldur's Gate. I go on YouTube shorts and what do I get?

Crap. Straight garbage.

I got told (years before Oct 7) that BBC was pretty down the middle factual on everything except Israel.

Haven't deliberately tuned in or paid attention since then to find out how true that's borne out.
