If this is what you actually want, maybe try PMing DToast asking to have your CE access removed. I'd mention that you understand that this removal is permanent and you can't just PM asking for permission back again.

Maybe I should have a self imposed sabbatical where I just don't come back for a few weeks. Rather then something permanent? The gravity of getting banned is starting to set in.

You can use an email service like futureme. Change your password to something random then send it to yourself so it doesnt turn up for 6 weeks for example. That was you can keep out for 6 weeks but then come back in the future after 6 weeks.
