"If the disk tray is busted, it isn't repairable" A console repair guy told me that when I took my old 360 in years ago.
was that the gen plagued by the rrod?
I decided to take it. I guess I officially own my first Microsoft console now.
Going to take it to a Gaming hardware store tomorrow to see if it actually works

I hope it works out for you, TC
360 had some solid stuff:
Gears of War
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Dead Rising
Crackdown
And uh... I dunno what else >_>

No way it works.
You're literally talking a 20yo console that has a 66% failure rate when new
iirc the disc tray is like paired to the rest of the console and it won't even read a replacement unless you hack that shit to make the xbox think its the same tray

Nope you're exaggerating. RROD was practically eliminated in late models.
Whats a garbage room?Op must live in a tower complex where everyone takes their trash to a centralized location.

Pretty sure they meant the OG 360 and not the later revisions such as the Slim and Elite considering the TC happens to have found themselves an OG 360.The Jasper models look just like the launch model and they don't have anywhere near as high failure rate. Chances are TC got his hands on a Jasper model.
So I guess I really lucked out because the system not only works 100% but there was a left over copy of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare in the disc drivehttps://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/4/4cae7df7.jpg
