Reading anything interesting? Got a book backlog? Let's talk about it!
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.
I read too many books in January and can't seem to get the attention span back to read anything else, which sucks because there's now a lot of stuff I need to read for work and can't groan emoji.
Spongebob is not a contraceptive.
Rereading the Shannara series right now

I rolled over page 1000 of The Count of Monte Cristo yesterday. Of course, I'm nuts, so I read all the Roman numeral pages at the start too, lol.

It's my second read through. Favorite novel, lol. The one subplot I didn't like the first time around (Albert's duel), I kinda "got" a little more this time. Seems dueling is just what you do in 19th century France when you want to murder someone but don't want to break the law. I dunno, maybe this was the case everywhere, I never cared about history lol.

I read Reacher books 2 - 6 the past couple months. Started them and read like 3 or 4 of them on a cruise I went on then just finished up book 6 a few weeks ago.

They are fun little thrillers.

I'm also reading--much more casually--a book filled with short stories and poems by Poe. Has anybody read Ligeia? Uh...

Did he poison the second wife and just blame it on Ligeia's ghost ?

I'm reading a book about the filming of Mad Max Fury Road, the backstage drama from the start of production to filming was utter madness.

It's called Blood, Sweat & Chrome by Kyle Buchanan.

I've got two I need to read and a couple to buy. I have one to read and also to pick up the latest few books from the Gray Man series by Mark Greaney. This is the series the Netflix movie was based on. Never saw the movie but the books are awesome balls to the wall action thrillers. Very Jason Bourne if you're into that.

I also have to read the third book in the Empire of Salt series by C.F. Iggulden. He did a lot of fiction based on historical characters like Genghis Khan and Julius Caeser. Empire of salt is a fantasy series he wrote that I've enjoyed.

Come to think of it I never got around to reading Brian Gewirtz's book, he was a writer for the WWE in the early 2000's and is one of the Rock's personal writers now. He wrote a book on his time with the WWE I picked up and never got around to reading.

Just read the Iliad, now I'm on the Odyssey. Both are not at all what I thought they were. Will be reading the Aeneid next.

I've been trying to read Hopscotch by Julio Cortzar for a while now but it's a real slog. Also rereading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Reading through the Stormlight Archive series again by Brandon Sanderson, ahead of the fifth book later this year.

I just caught up with that this year when I finished Rhythm of War. I also finished Edgedancer and Dawnshard earlier this year as well. Have you read The Sunlit Man?

I only got into Sanderson after completing The Wheel of Time series. I'll definitely be reading all of his Cosmere entries.

Been reading a fun mystery/espionage type story set in alternate 1850s Britain about the computer age starting at that time. Called The Difference Engine. The dialogue is so British and its excellent.

Most of my reading is Dresden Files or Sanderson's Cosmere stuff. Was getting into Gentleman Bastard's but it's looking like the author may be done with writing so it looks like that series is a lost cause.
