From what i could parse, they should have been able to observe that a byproduct of their screening was a lack of diversity and have taken steps to correct it.

Like, "not hiring people with criminal records" sounds good on paper until you remember that law enforcement disproportionally creates those criminal records

i was confused a bit at first because all the jobs Ive worked at do hard background checks and any state level felony eliminates the person immediately
