What a load of crap. They gave her a less attractive body type,
but didn't even bother to adjust her pose to actually fit her new figure (her hand on her hip didn't have very good collision in the before pic either, but in the after pic it's just plain awful.
You'll also note that they pulled her pants part way down. In the before-image her hip bone wasn't even visible. In addition, the belt no longer looks right. Anyone who has ever used something like Daz or Poser can tell that they used some sort of autofit-morph to adjust the clothing for the new body type, and no effort beyond that.)
The before and after pics of the male character make it even more obvious that they're switching from a more stylized anime art style to a realistic one. For a

game.
