Got an example? I'm guessing you are referring to the Netflix Avatar, but Sokka absolutely changed. Only it happened over the course of like an hour long episode instead of 4 20 minute episodes. He didn't watch it.
What kind of bookstores does this guy go to?
Most of the most profitable anime is made for young boys. That's what shonen means
That's honestly crazy that Japan likes Hazbin Hotel that much. Considering a lot of my anime only watching friends greatly dislike Hazbin Hotel for its art style.
It's a gal and probably something like barnes and nobles. I've seen some of those spaces in the ones near me.Well yeah, they all have manga spaces, but I have never in my life seen a store where it was more than like a couple of shelves to maybe a whole aisle if the bookstore is just enormous.

corporate suits at a loss about what the general public actually likesAnd they're always years late to trends as well
cant say im surprised
they probably think it's a fad that will blow overWhich is funny because they constantly churn out the same shit in cycles all the time.
An "Isekai" ahead of it's time.Is this a joke?

Executive: "We can't make action cartoons anymore. They're too expensive. They require toy sales to make them turn a profit."That's the attitude that kills creativity especially in America, everything is bogged down to smas much money as possible as cheap as possible and as quickly as possible it's gambling with extra steps. I bet these fuckers can't wait til ai chat becomes mainstream so they can flood the entertainment industry with crap hoping one of those will become a hit with even less risks and bigger rewards
Fan: "Why can't we have a toy line?"
Executive: "Young people don't play with toys anymore. They want video games."
Fan: "Why can't we have a video game?"
Executive: "People don't buy games based off of licensed properties. They have a reputation for being crap."
Fan: "Why cant w-"
Executive: "We're not taking risks and we're gonna give you what we're gonna give you. Now go watch the ironic, self-aware CalArts-animated deconstruction of the show you wish you were watching."
I've seen a few aisles but now that you mention it, taking up the majority of the bookstore seems a bit tall. I assume she's referring to just a section like the front of a shop or something.
anime is literally just 1 to 1 adaptations of really well made manga most of the timeVery True.
hollywood cannot comprehend the idea of a 1 to 1 adaptation of source material
Is this a joke?
I dont know shit about anime, only entered this topic out of boredom. But, if any of it can be compared to that movie, then I dont care to.
Seriously, that movie was epically stupid.
I buy a lot of manga but even the sizable manga section one of my Barnes & Nobles has, it definitely isn't a majority of the store...
The other Barnes & Nobles I go to has the manga section right up front and it looks pretty big fron a glance so I guess something like that would lead to some confusion...
Is this a joke?it's pretty accurate. Isekai started well enough, but then every new anime had to be an isekai. It's over-saturated and getting more ridiculous every season. Fortunately, it does seem the fatigue is setting in and we're starting to get new anime that qualifier.

Very True.Lol yes
They always seem to want to "Leave their own Spin" on things.
Which is not what the Anime consumer ever wants.
anime is literally just 1 to 1 adaptations of really well made manga most of the timeReally? Every time I watch a anime I got into from a manga, they always cut a lot of stuff out so they can cram as many story arcs as possible into a 10-12 episode season.
