Rachel Maddow probably does both of those things as well. I'm guessing they had some evidence he wasn't a cultist. The Art of the Deal was written in 1987. I think I may have read it when I needed a book while waiting for a flight.

So did they manage to panel and seat the entire jury pool yet?
Today features the six alternates.
Tuesday the judge hears about all the violations to the gag order.
I thought they moved that hearing up.
They did. It was originally Wednesday.

This is the kind of lunatic a juror is going to be dealing with if the media outs them. Some of these prospective jurors might vote to acquit regardless of the evidence just because they fear for their lives.
Okay that's what I thought it meant, but I guess I'm not as stringent when I'm reading articles, as it didn't occur to me that it was all that unprofessional. To add, I was under the impression (sic) is shortened from spelling incorrect
Thanks.
Wow lock him upI think he was arrested.

I think he was arrested.Oh nice, thx for that info =)
Also, sic is from a Latin phrase "sic erat scriptum" pretty much meaning "how it was written"

Fat fuck ran out of strikes which is why he was crying about being limited to only 10 the other day. He wanted unlimited strikes so he could keep delaying the trial.

Surprising that a juror who apparently has a JD got through, although I figure the state reasoned that works in its favor and Trump ran out of peremptory challenges.

What does "guard" mean here. It's not like they can physically prevent people from entering the chamber and going to the floor. The House can't technically do any work in the absence of a quorum of the members. Most of the time there's like 5 people in there and they just "presume" a quorum is present, but if something they don't like happens, all a Rep has to do to stop it is get the right to speak and note the lack of a quorum to force a quorum call.

I was also surprised by this. I dont know what your experience with jury service has been Pie, but my JD/legal career has always disqualified me. When I lived in Va., I was always dismissed before coming in (long time ago, so dont know if that still happens.). Where I live now, I always come in and am instantly dismissed when people realize what I do for a living. Last time it was a law school friend of mine working the case who laughed at me for having to come before kicking me out!Oh no, I've also been tossed for (presumably) my JD. Funnily enough, at all three stages of my career: law student, judicial clerk, and practicing attorney. All my voir dire questionings have ended at the "and what do you do for a living?" stage. Funny enough, the attorney at my second voir dire was a classmate of my judge, so she asked me to tell my judge she said hi.
Everywhere I have been no one wants a lawyer on a jury. Or maybe just me? But in this case finding a panel is so hard that I guess beggars cant be choosers?
Warning: I don't know what the audio is like on this, but from about :15 to :30 you can see the person on fire - from a distance, partially obscured by a bench, but you can make out the body as they're sitting there and shifting positions - then they cut away until it's being extinguished. From a live CNN report:that reporters narration is so absurd wtf
Julie Berman, 56, a Manhattan resident who came to the plaza to photograph protesters, saw the man set himself on fire. He had a sign saying something about Trump and Biden working together to orchestrate a coup, she said, and another one alleging some kind of Ponzi scheme. She said he told her to get back, then doused himself with liquid, threw some fliers in the air, then doused himself again before flicking a lighter and lighting himself on fire.
She said she was about 15 feet away.
I thought it was water at first, she said of the liquid the man doused himself with. It happened so fast and took my mind so long to catch up.
She had approached him to take a photograph, because photographing people around Trump events has become a hobby for her. Before she could ask him to take a close-up, he yelled at her repeatedly: Get away!
He appeared to be under age 40, she said; he reminded her of protesters from my Greenpeace days.
She said she did not wait to watch him burn to death, as others did.
