Ya, I worked at a Casino and and a Wine store, some people are ridiculous at who they card.

One thing that was kinda fucked up was at the Casino I worked at you could use a Benefits card to get in.
And one thing that was fucked up at the wine store was the mother fucking PTA was tax exempt.

I'll be 37 soon and I got carded for the first time in about a decade, it was awesome. Though I do go to a lot of the same stores.

Some places will card everyone regardless of how old you look. If you don't have ID, you're not getting in even if you have grey hairs.

That's how it was when I worked at Walgreens. Old dudes would lose their shit, as if I was the grown ass man that left the house without an ID

Ya, I worked a beer store that did that.
Sometimes someone who probably fought in WWII would come in and I would still have ID him.
Half of the time, they had trouble even getting their ID out, and the line would get backed up.
Though I will say, at that place someone left their ID behind and it wasn't uncommon, for even my supervisor to just scan that ID. That was all during peak Covid days. And as a side note: I think we were the only ones taking returnables in the county, so we all just assumed we were going to die anyway.

All the bigger casinos around me have security and metal detectors at the door. Everyone is getting their ID scanned no matter how old they are.

True. Chevron has that policy. I remember one time a lady who was clearly 50+ got carded and was pissed because she didn't have her ID

Cause of how you look or they card everybody?

I've seen places card people who are clearly at least 60 because it's company policy and there's cameras.

If it's cause of how you look, quit complaining, some people are aged way beyond their years and there's no benefit to that unless you're a teenager who thinks that's cool, so be grateful that you look more youthful than you view yourself.

I have young looks, so people still think me in my teens at times. Rather than complain i take in stride if not get an ego boost from it.

It was the same for me when I went to Vegas in 2006.

I went to a handful of different casinos and drank like a fish, yet despite being barely 21, I only got asked for ID once over the course of 3 days.
