I suppose a lot of people are haters.

Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding
and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. Just is!
Only large city I have ever visited and disliked. And I have been to dozens.
Currently playing: Cyberpunk 2077
It's all drug mules and surfers from my limited exposure
I feel well put
I enjoyed it. Stayed in a lovely hotel on a marina.

Only thing I hated was the airport. Terminal buildings way too small and crowded.

fun city but I think living there would kinda suck. anywhere with a lot of tourists sounds shitty
?
A lot of the hate comes from people with a political angle and/or have never been there and/or assume stereotypes. I understand why people consider it a hallscape, and from what I've seen from content creators who live there, a lot of then do consider it pretty shitty. All this to say however, I've visited twice and I truly enjoy it. It's arguably the best food city in the US, the donuts are bomb, the dispensaries are bomb, and it has nice access to nature and hikes.

And yes I know I'm taking a Sunhawk topic seriously, but this one honestly provoked discussion. Even if he doesn't care, why can't we seize control of the idea?
How quaint.
I love LA whenever I go there but you can definitely tell people are superficial there
Its a me....MARIOOOO
It's attempted to kill our beloved Hollywood Jeff on several occasions. Fuck that place
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.
I live in Jersey so imagine the hype around that place is like NYC for us. Fun to visit for a few days at a time but I couldnt stand the thought of being there for a week with how expensive it is and the lack of personal space.

I love LA, but I've lived here my entire life. I love how much there is to do. There's so much stuff all over the city

Wait what? What airport did you land in? Must not have been LAX, because "too small" is not a description I'd use there lol.

I feel like a lot of people fall for the whole "if you go to LA, you WILL be shot" rhetoric, especially if they don't live in the states and just know about what you see on TV...though I haven't been to LA myself, so can't really speak from experience, but being a big city, it probably isn't the best place to live

The city doesn't have a good stereotypical visual image. When you think of Chicago and New York you think of their great skylines. When you think of Los Angeles you think of smog and large city sprawl instead of skyscrapers so it makes the city look flat. Of course Los Angeles has skyscrapers, but people don't think of that.

That's because Los Angeles is massive and only downtown really has skyscrapers. Los Angeles city covers about 502 square miles and Los Angeles County is 4,084 square miles. And I mention the county size because some of what people count as "Los Angeles" is actually just part of the county itself and is a different, smaller city.

It's nicer to look at imo because there's mountains and more greenery in general. I'm from NYC and the skyline is not something you see everyday really. When you're on the ground, just walking on a block there's more grime and loud noise. One thing I noticed is a lot less honking in LA compared to NYC.
How quaint.
My favorite thing about LA is that every Uber and Lyft driver loves to talk about how they are "in the business."

Bruh, you're 65 and balding. I don't think meeting Dua Lipa for 10 seconds at a whole foods is gonna be your "big break" lmao

Yeah, it was LAX. Flying back, people were queueing out the doors trying to check in.

Not enough space, considering the passenger numbers.

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A., it's a bullshit three-ring circus sideshow of freaks . It's one great big festering neon distraction.
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.
