Studies keep showing that the "extremely muscular" trope isn't actually for "female eye candy" purposes, it's for guys who think that that's what women think is sexy/how they want to view themselves. Incels have just deluded themselves into thinking that women are ever given the perspective in any meaningful sense, as opposed to the reality that it's really all just "what do men think is hot."
