haven't watched a 10/10 movie in awhile... what should i throw on today ce?

It's a deconstruction, in a way. Instead of editing, you are using cinematography in more creative ways, totally separating it from being just a play. Removing editing might feel like you are regressing back to the 1900s and 1910s, but when done correctly, can elevate the movie. Filmmakers are always finding new ways to reinvent older methods, which makes it a living medium.

i mean if you have edits that allows you to do more creative things by cutting to a new shot with different blocking and lighting and stuff. also lets you use inserts to get better takes from a performance level. and cut to closeups for maximum dramatic impact. and lots of other stuff probably that you can't do when everything is just one shot.
