They can be difficult to keep clean if you aren't able to brush them properly. After a dental appointment earlier this year, I found out that my upper right sheared in half and the upper left is decayed. The bottom two have had cavities filled in the past, so as long as I keep them clean, they do not need to be pulled. The upper right was pulled a few weeks ago. The upper left will be pulled at the beginning of May.
