I feel like this is extremely childish, but I also feel like if they do legitimately air the footage, it's because they feel confident that it really does make Punk look like a child, and they're just childish enough themselves to do so.

I would have agreed with this if Punk ignored the "real glass" jab, since it would have made Jungle Boy look petulant. Instead, Punk apparently took the bait and started a fight over it, so they both look terrible, but Punk really should have known better, being the veteran. If Punk hadn't reacted, nobody would have known what the "real glass" comment even was referencing. We only found out because Punk reacted.

AEW is a clown show and they continue to prove it everyday. They just spent millions on 3 new people who wont help that company in the slightest. The only way they can cling to a shred of relevancy is by latching onto a guy they all hate. When AEW doesnt get renewed, itll all collapse.

To be fair, we don't actually know what impact Punk leaving AEW has had. Ratings were dropping before Punk ever left, and then they kinda stabilized, and then they started dropping again. We have no idea if it was Punk related, or if people have just consistently been down on AEW period.

I mean theres no way this works out for them either way.

I don't think so, honestly this looks bad as it is, and if they do something like that it will be even worse. Either theyre going to be totally one-sided and neglect to mention anything leading up to this footage theyre showing just for a one time dig at punk that absolutely nobody will care about. Or, itll be totally made up bullshit.

Either way, after this week theyll have no more surprise footage and have nowhere to go. All for just a slight bump in one weeks ratings leeching off of punk that theyll be unable to maintain. Let them have the balls to show any footage of the time punk was ambushed if it exists. We know they wont do that. This pathetic company need to be put out of its misery, and most of their roster can fade back into obscurity and the rest can go crawling back to WWE.

This pretty much. They must know the footage contradicts CM Punk's explanation of events to the point it basically makes him look both violent and a liar. Itl backfire if Punk's version of events looks accurate. He did imply he didn't instigate the fight.

It is stooping kinda low to do this on live tv, as situations like this always have more to it than meets the eye, but I have been in a situation before where I couldn't help showing the evidence I had to prove a liar wrong.
