I always felt ''No one asked for this'' is kinda narcissistic because the person is implying he's speaking for everyone and everyone is agreeing with him."No one" or "everyone" is rarely literal in these kind of statements. It's more to imply that the people who do/don't are so few that it may as well be no one / everyone.

We get it, Doom. You're looking forward to the Joker 2: Incel BoogalooMaybe this time SBAllen won't call me an incel for going to it lol
Whaaat? Storytime?I made a topic back in 2019 right before going to see Joker that I'm nervous because I didn't want to run into any incels there

The second post was SBAllen and he said something like "If you don't want incels to be there then you shouldn't go" lol

It means that sometimes some ideas are just kinda dumb, but it somehow ends up working way better than you'd think. To be fair, KH was a big ask.
Think of the first KH game.
What really grinds my gears is when someone says "this is better than it had any right to be" what does that even meanA big one for me is "I went in wanting to hate this"
What really grinds my gears is when someone says "this is better than it had any right to be" what does that even meanImagine if Trump just released the sickest single. It is just a good tune, dude was gifted the power of singing for one miraculous day just to record this song. Makes you feel nostalgia for things that you never even seen. Even the most steadfast of libs have to admit that is one fine ass song.
A big one for me is "I went in wanting to hate this"I personally dislike "I have low expectations so when it is good I'll be shocked and entertained" logic.
like wtf is wrong with you that you *want* to hate something lol

A big one for me is "I went in wanting to hate this"I dunno, for me the bigger head scratcher here is the part where they wanted to hate it but they went in anyway.

I personally dislike "I have low expectations so when it is good I'll be shocked and entertained" logic.I'm sort of like this, except it's more like I'm going in with no expectations since I usually go in as blind as possible.
1/10 stars
I saw this movie last night, and my popcorn butter melted through to my pants. So for 2 hours 40 minutes I had butter pants while this kid wouldn't stop crying. I will never watch this movie again due to the emotional trauma and the director should should shot for allowing this travesty to be released. Movie itself was fantastic, however.

I only just popped that out, but I love it when you see reviews for anything similiar to that. They give it the lowest rating, because of some arbitrary thing while praising the movie/product for being fine.
I usually see 'no one asked for this' applied to shitty remakes that crash & burn, and the fact that Hollywood is creatively bankrupt is absolutely something that should be called out.I'm so tired of this complaint because I would venture to say that the majority of movies released are original, but they're small and not talked about that much. The big franchises and reboots and remakes get all the press.
I usually see 'no one asked for this' applied to shitty remakes that crash & burn, and the fact that Hollywood is creatively bankrupt is absolutely something that should be called out.I disagree. People like to act like they're speaking for others or that others agree with them so it makes their argument looks stronger when in fact it's not true. People just need to speak more for themselves and people also needs to stop letting others speak for them.
who is this topic for
no one asked for this

Asking 'who is the audience for this?' is a basic starting point of criticism.
