Nobody wanted an 80 year old Indy, cmon dood
If you read this signature, then that meant that I had control of what you read for 5 SECONDS!!
The first three movies were better, but Dial of Destiny was great. I saw it with a diverse group (including people who had never seen Indiana Jones before) and everybody liked it.
Cuteness is justice! It's the law.
Well you see that's because it was woke, any movie with a female character that isn't a damsel in distress it woke.

The whole thing was kind of weird and disjointed. It felt like the final part of the movie was a planned sequel squished down into 15 minutes.

Indy literally saves her fyi
I don't know that it ever really had a shot given how much of a disaster Crystal skull was.

I'm expecting the new Ghostbusters to underperform pretty heavily too. I think at this point Hollywood has bled every last drop of nostalgia out of moviegoers from the '80s. Even the people who grew up loving these franchises are just burned out by the endless churn.

To be fair, the movie sucked.
DI MOLTO!

Mad Max and Beetlejuice have a new movie coming out this year. Do those count toward this? If you want to go further back a Godzilla movie just got released.
Hey now.
A movie that grossed nearly $400 million should not be a flop.

Movies cost too goddamn much to produce.
...I think I'm done here...

How is it a woke film? The only Black character was killed by the Nazis mid-film.

Briefly before it came out Chuds thought the woman in the film was poised to replace Indy.
This did not happen in any way shape or form. Anyone who calls it woke didn't warch it. Infact she was characterized as a bad peraon 80% of the movie.

Beetlejuice I would consider a bit of an exception because it was never a franchise, just a single movie. I guess it had the cartoon too. As for mad max, I don't think it will be bad but I think it will disappoint fans. For a franchise that built its reputation on practical effects and car chases there was a decent amount of CG in the trailer. If I had to guess, it will ultimately stand as the second worst above the original movie, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. It's also worth pointing out that being the second worst Mad Max movie still means that you're pretty good movie.

Honestly?

I would blame at least 50% for this commercial failure to the Crystal Skull.

I watched this in the cinema, but thanks to this movie I didn't give a shit about another Indiana Jones movie at all.
Planning is the process of replacing chance with error.

I liked Wombat, but that was one of the weak parts of the film.

Dial of Destiny was far worse than Crystal Skull.

I think people will only go the movies in droves for 'event' movies and the 5th sequel to a three decades old franchise isn't an event anymore.
A Fallen Mascot
I thought it was good, needed more whipping though.

Also thought Crystal Skull was good so maybe I just have poor taste. It was certainly not the strongest in the franchise but still very enjoyable.
